Three-Year, $12 Million Contract
Guaranteed $12 Million, Average Annual Salary $4 Million
Free agent center Dwight Powell has re-signed with the Dallas Mavericks, agreeing to a three-year, $12 million contract, according to sources who spoke to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal includes a total of $12 million in guaranteed money and an average annual salary of $4 million.
Powell, a seven-year veteran, has spent the past four seasons with the Mavericks after starting his career with the Boston Celtics. He has emerged as a valuable contributor for Dallas, providing strong rebounding and defense off the bench.
In the 2022-23 season, Powell averaged 5.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 63.7% from the field. He also played an important role in the Mavericks' playoff run, helping them advance to the Western Conference Finals.
With Powell's re-signing, the Mavericks retain a key piece of their rotation and continue to build their roster for the upcoming season.
